The Ducks delivered a good effort, but the defending champion Wings were too much for them in the end...that polishes off former favourite and leader Amhlaoibh who rode a good western first round to the top of the standings but was undone by the western second round which went entirely against him, and Roel, who finds himself in the odd situation of leading the pool yet having no winning scenario...he and Brian Hazzard may have some (more) choice words for me, and this may lead to further soul-searching with regard to the scoring system for next year...sorry Scott, but the Wings over the Ducks gives me the bulk of the Penguin momentum; if it had gone the other way, our positions would be reversed...the Bruins-Canes game, which as of this writing has gone to overtime, basically comes down to a battle between (future) daughter-in-law Jaeslyn and father-in-law Bill, and it will be largely a three-horse race between me, Jon, and whichever of them comes out ahead in the overtime...
